I Need Healing
Healing doesn’t ask you to forget. It teaches you how to live beyond what hurt you.
Welcometo the In-Between
Healing can be a strange place.
You’re not where you were anymore—but you’re not completely free from it either.
Some days you recognize how much you’ve grown. Other days one memory, conversation, disappointment, or familiar feeling can make you wonder whether you’ve made any progress at all.
You have.
Healing isn’t proven by never hurting again. Sometimes healing looks like responding differently when the hurt returns.
Today’s Scripture
“He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.”
— Psalm 147:3 (NIV)
Consider:
What part of my heart have I been trying to heal without allowing God to touch it?

A Gentle Reflection
♡ What hurts differently now than it did when it first happened?
♡ What have I learned about myself through this experience?
♡ What am I still carrying that belongs to someone else?
♡ Where have I mistaken remembering for failing to heal?
♡ What boundary would protect the healing God is doing in me?
♡ What evidence can I see that I am not where I used to be?
Don’t measure your healing only by what still hurts. Notice what has changed, too.
A Prayer for My Healing
Father,
Thank You for meeting me in places I thought would always hurt.
Heal what I cannot repair by myself.
Help me release resentment without abandoning wisdom, forgive without ignoring what I have learned, and establish boundaries without guilt.
When old pain returns, remind me that remembering is not the same as going backward.
Give me patience with the parts of myself that are still healing and courage for the life opening ahead of me.
Amen.
Signs Healing Is Happening
♡ You recover from difficult moments more quickly.
♡ You’re setting boundaries without needing everyone to understand them.
♡ You’re beginning to trust yourself again.
♡ You can remember without always wanting to return.
♡ You’re recognizing patterns you couldn’t see before.
♡ Peace is becoming more important than proving your point.
♡ You’re making decisions based on where you’re going—not only on where you’ve been.
Healing can be quiet. Don’t overlook your progress simply because it didn’t announce itself.
Healing & Forgiveness
Forgiveness does not require pretending nothing happened.
Forgiveness doesn’t automatically mean reconciliation. It doesn’t require renewed access, erased boundaries, or denying the consequences of someone’s choices.
Sometimes forgiveness is simply deciding that you no longer want the wound to have unlimited access to your present.
And sometimes the person you’re learning to forgive is yourself.
Ask yourself:
What am I ready to stop punishing myself for?
